About the guest

Cara Richards-Tutor  is a professor in the College of Education, California State University, Long Beach. Her research and publications mainly focus on interventions for English learners and students at-risk for learning disabilities as well as the Response to Intervention Model. She has several books, book chapters, and journal articles on these topics. Dr. Richards-Tutor works with local schools to develop and implement Multi-tiered Systems of Support, including RTI and PBIS. She also serves on the executive board for the Council for Exceptional Children’s Division of Research.
